30 minutes until the start: Liam Lawson's commentary.

Liam Lawson will start eighth at Zandvoort and hopes to score points…

Liam Lawson: “I think our race pace is good, but on this circuit qualifying is the most important thing, and we’re starting from a pretty decent position. We’re in for a tough race, physically demanding, and I also expect finding the right approach to the tyres won’t be easy.

We’ll try to make full use of every opportunity that presents itself; besides, it’s still unclear what surprises the weather might bring, and here it can always intervene in the course of events on track.

Our task is to score points, so we need to act sensibly. I’m not sure we have the pace to compete with the guys starting ahead of us, but at the very least we should try to hold the position we start from.

The G-forces through the high-speed parts of the lap are very large, which especially affects the neck muscles, and there’s almost no chance to relax because you’re constantly turning — the straights here are short. The banked sections add extra challenges — overall, the race promises to be tough.”
