Bortoleto was not fined for overtaking under yellow flags.
In the second practice of the Italian Grand Prix, Gabriel Bortoleto passed Liam Lawson in a yellow-flag zone. The stewards examined the circumstances of the incident and decided not to impose sanctions on the Sauber driver.
The stewards' decision states that "the driver of car number 5 approached the yellow-flag zone before turn seven, while the driver of car number 30 was traveling ahead of him at a significantly lower speed. The first yellow flag was shown on the right after turn six.
At the moment the yellow flags were displayed, the driver of car number 5 was already in close proximity to the driver of car number 30. As a result, the driver of car number 30 partially blocked the driver of car number 5's view of the yellow flags.
The stewards found that the driver of car number 5 did not have sufficient time to react to the yellow flags before overtaking the driver of car number 30."
