The woman involved in the Horner 'sexting' scandal has reappeared at Monza.
Fiona Hewitson, who previously served as the executive assistant at the heart of Christian Horner's downfall, has made a return to the Formula 1 paddock. Until now, the British media had largely refrained from identifying her. However, the Bild newspaper has not only revealed her name but has also published images of Hewitson wearing Cadillac F1 team attire at Monza. She was a long-time personal aide to Horner at Red Bull and was reportedly involved in the scandalous 'sexts' that sparked the political turmoil leading to his termination as team principal earlier in 2025. Hewitson is now working as the executive assistant to Cadillac F1's CEO Dan Towriss, who is also present at Monza with his wife. Bild has referred to this as "a comeback that no one really expected."
Meanwhile, there are rumors suggesting Horner might be making a dramatic return to Formula 1. Initial speculation connected him to the new Cadillac project, but that discussion dwindled as Hewitson's association with Cadillac gained momentum. There have also been mentions of Alpine, potentially in a new partnership involving Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore. However, the latest and most captivating speculations are about Aston Martin.
"There are discussions that Horner could not only become team principal but might also have a financial stake," reported f1-insider.com. "Aston Martin has several shareholders, making this route plausible." Such a development would reunite Horner with Adrian Newey, who similarly joined Aston Martin with shares.
"A significant factor in this is Lawrence Stroll," the report continued. "The billionaire and team owner is rumored to be contemplating a medium-term exit from Formula 1. In this scenario, a sale or partial sale of the team is possible, with Horner potentially involved."
However, f1-insider.com also stated that its sources have dismissed these rumors. "They apparently stemmed from a private meeting between Horner and Aston Martin's technical director Adrian Newey," it noted. "Nonetheless, the meeting was purely personal. Former Mercedes engine chief Andy Cowell remains the team principal of Aston Martin."
