Four teams took part in Pirelli tests.
The day after the finish of the Italian Grand Prix, four teams conducted tests of Pirelli's 2026 tyre prototypes at Monza.
Max Verstappen (morning) and Yuki Tsunoda (afternoon) took the wheel of an RB19 from 2023 modified to the dimensions of the new tyre; Aston Martin and Williams used this year’s cars — Felipe Drugovich piloted the AMR25, and Carlos Sainz the FW47. Isaac Hadjar from Racing Bulls worked on the 2024 VCARB01.
The forecast promises strong winds and a thunderstorm tomorrow, so the first day's schedule was changed to complete as much of the planned programme as possible — it was important to finalise the slick compound allocations for next year.
The teams worked with soft compounds. Racing Bulls and Williams tested C4, C5 and C6, while Red Bull Racing and Aston Martin tried C3. The programme began with quick laps to assess the raw pace of the different compounds, and then the drivers ran long stints to evaluate wear.

Tests will continue tomorrow, but the programme depends on the weather. If the rain only falls in the morning, slick testing will resume in the afternoon and only Racing Bulls and Williams will be on track. If the rain continues into the afternoon but is not too heavy, Pirelli will test intermediate and wet tyres.
