Nikola Tsolov will race for Campos in Formula 2.

Nikola Tsolov, the F3 vice-champion, will continue his career in Formula 2, where he will race for Campos, a team he has worked with for more than one year.

The 18-year-old driver nicknamed "the Bulgarian Lion" is a member of the Red Bull junior programme, and last season he took two wins and stood on the podium six times in total.

The Spanish team also confirmed that Nikola will take part in the official three-day tests to be held in Abu Dhabi on 10–12 December after the Formula 2 season concludes.

Adrian Campos Jr., head of Campos Racing: "We are proud to continue working with Nikola next year. He is a very distinctive driver, and he took his first steps in the formula categories with Campos.

Over two seasons racing for our team he has been a champion (in Spanish F4) and a vice-champion, which demonstrates his clear talent. Of course, a Formula 2 car is machinery of a different level, but Nikola already has extensive experience in single-seater racing, where he shows true maturity. We are confident he will handle the challenge in Formula 2 as well."

Nikola Tsolov: "I am incredibly happy to be taking the next step in my career and moving up to Formula 2, where I will continue to race for Campos Racing. Together we have worked very hard and achieved considerable success, which gives me confidence ahead of the next season.

I am one step closer to my dream and will put in even more effort to achieve strong results."
