Lewis Hamilton: I'd like to get on the podium.

Before the start of the race weekend in Baku, Lewis Hamilton says he is feeling optimistic, in part because, he says, he "has been able to sort out a number of issues."

Lewis Hamilton: "The Ferrari is very different from the cars I used to race in Baku, and I haven't driven it on this track before, so I'm curious how I'll adapt to it compared with the Mercedes I raced here in previous years. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the SF-25 will behave here.

This car provides much better mechanical grip on the tarmac, and you could say that it is much 'softer.' Let's hope that quality suits this kind of circuit.

Speaking about all the remaining races, it would be an exaggeration to talk about chances of winning, given that this year I have most often finished sixth, seventh or eighth. But I would very much like to get on the podium at some stage of the season to make the team happy, since Charles, my teammate, has already managed that five times.

But I'm feeling optimistic ahead of this weekend. I feel that I've been able to sort out a number of issues, and now I want to see if I can achieve higher speeds. Hopefully during the Baku weekend I can get that started."
