Hajar hopes to reach the final of the qualifiers.

After the second practice session at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the Racing Bulls drivers were in different moods. Liam Lawson, who is competing in Baku for the first time behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car, is pleased with the first day of the race weekend. Isack Hadjar admitted that he still needs to work on the car setup and improve his own driving.

Liam Lawson (7th): "A good day for us. I haven't raced at this circuit for several years, and I can say that the sensations behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car are different from those in Formula 2. I think the organizers have cleaned the track well this weekend — the asphalt is very grippy, and we were even faster than in last year's qualifying. The team aims to be in the top ten every weekend, and of course it's great that we're in those positions after the second practice. Lately the car has been behaving very consistently, and we need to keep fighting to gain at least a small advantage."

Isack Hadjar (13th): "Today I'm not completely satisfied with the car. It was difficult for me to find the limit, it was behaving very inconsistently, and I need to drive better myself, especially in the second sector. I clearly know what changes need to be made to the car setup, and in which areas I need to improve personally. I'm looking forward to tomorrow with confidence and hope that we can make it to the final."
