Oscar Piastri and Franco Colapinto had their chassis replaced.
On Sunday morning the FIA confirmed the replacement of the survival cells on the cars of Oscar Piastri and Franco Colapinto after their crashes in qualifying for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The impacts with the barrier in both cases were so severe that McLaren and Alpine had to assemble their drivers' cars on a new chassis. Both cars have already passed technical inspection and been cleared to race. Piastri and Colapinto should retain their grid positions, as the new parts are of the same specification as the damaged ones.
