Toto Wolff: We had a great weekend

      By points scored in Baku, Mercedes were second only to Red Bull Racing; the drivers finished second and fourth — the team is pleased with that result.

      Toto Wolff, team principal: "We had a great weekend and leave Azerbaijan with a good result. It's nice to be back on the podium with George's second place and to see that Kimi brought the team many points by finishing fourth. Of course, we always think only of winning, but this result gives reason for optimism after two difficult races following the summer break.

      We congratulate Carlos Sainz, James Vowles and Williams on third place on the podium. It is a fully deserved result. Kimi did everything he could to get close to them and attack, but they were too quick.

      Nevertheless, Antonelli drove a great race, including overtaking Liam Lawson — we saw how several cars, including Leclerc's Ferrari and Tsunoda's Red Bull, could not do that while in the DRS zone. Kimi will use this weekend to gain momentum ahead of the final seven races.

      George was ill all weekend; at first it was unclear whether he would even be able to get on track on Friday and Saturday. But he coped brilliantly, achieving a stunning result."
