Hakkinen and Coulthard will meet in Adelaide.
Two-time world champion Mika Häkkinen and 13-time Grand Prix winner David Coulthard will attend the Repco Adelaide Motorsport 2026 festival. On 28 February and 1 March they will take part in demonstration runs. Which cars they will be driving has not yet been announced.
It will be their first visit to Adelaide since the 1995 Australian Grand Prix, when the Finn was involved in a life-threatening crash during qualifying. At the high-speed Brewery Bend a tyre on Häkkinen's McLaren blew out and the Finn crashed into the barriers at high speed. Mika's life was saved by an emergency tracheotomy performed in the cockpit by Professor Sid Watkins, Formula 1's chief doctor.
