Max Verstappen: That was awesome!

      The crew of Max Verstappen and Chris Lalham won the 4-hour race on the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife, although it was a debut for both of them on the most demanding German circuit behind the wheel of a Ferrari 296 GT3.

      “It was great! — Max commented immediately after the finish, congratulating his teammate on the circuit’s pit lane. — On the first two stints on the dry track the car worked perfectly, but I realized that already during qualifying.

      True, we were a bit unlucky then (Verstappen only set the third-fastest time), but in the race everything fell into place, and I think that even in traffic during the first two stints I didn’t make any major mistakes. Winning for the first time on such a track is wonderful!

      Of course, ultimately I want to do the 24-hour race as well. It’s hard to say whether I’ll be able to do that next year, but now I need to gain more experience and compete in a few more NLS races.”
