Ocon: The Singapore Grand Prix has grown on me over the years.

Of the Haas F1 drivers, only Esteban Ocon has experience competing in the Singapore Grand Prix: he has started this race six times and scored points on two occasions, but that was a long time ago, back in his Force India days. Oliver Bearman is set to make his first start on the demanding Marina Bay street circuit, but he is already looking forward to it.

Aio Komatsu, team principal: "We know the race in Singapore is always a tough test, but I don't see any reasons that would prevent us from showing the VF-25's potential on the Marina Bay circuit. As always, preparation for the weekend's main events needs to be gradual, but most importantly — starting on Friday we must complete all the tasks set before us. The weekend promises to be difficult for the whole team because we'll have to work in heat and high humidity, but it's one of the most spectacular rounds of the season, and Singapore always has a special atmosphere. We understand that the next few races will require a lot from everyone, but we have something to fight for in the championship. If we can unlock the car's potential in full in every session, we'll have the opportunity to score points and improve our position in the constructors' standings."

Oliver Bearman: "I'm happy to head to Singapore to race on those streets in a Formula 1 car. A year ago I was at this race as a reserve driver — it seems Marina Bay is an incredibly interesting circuit. It has a complex layout, and I've always enjoyed racing on street circuits. I hope we can show the good form we had in several previous rounds and finish in a fairly high position on Sunday evening."

Esteban Ocon: "In terms of physical demands, the Singapore Grand Prix is the toughest race of the year. Because of the humidity, conditions there are always extreme, and you especially feel it during the race. But over the years this Grand Prix has grown on me, especially after the track configuration update, and it's great to race there. Qualifying is also extremely intense. Marina Bay is one of those tracks where you feel true satisfaction if you manage to put together a really good lap. Overall, I'm looking forward to the Singapore weekend. We'll see what we can squeeze out of the VF-25: I hope some corner combinations will suit our car well. The foundation for a successful performance mainly needs to be laid on Saturday, but you can also fight for positions on Sunday."
