Lewis Hamilton issued a statement.
After the weekend in Singapore, Lewis Hamilton posted a statement on social media…
Lewis Hamilton: “It’s nice to be back home after a tough week. On the drive from Singapore I had time to reflect, and the main emotion I feel is gratitude. The support and love I felt after the loss of Rosco have been a powerful reminder that even when everything seems bleak, there is a lot of good in the world. You just have to see it.
I look at the positives, including on track. Media headlines tell only one story — the one where things aren’t going well for us or things don’t go as we’d like. But over the past few months I’ve been focused on a different story. On how this team responds to setbacks, how we get up and keep moving forward.
Yesterday was a great example. We chose the right strategy, but a brake issue arose just as we were preparing to attack. Now we’ll go back to base, draw conclusions, and prepare for the next race.
I’m very proud of this team and want to help them achieve the results that they and the tifosi deserve. I see the progress we’re making and the hard work that goes into every race, but this is Ferrari. Progress alone isn’t enough. To rise to the top you need to go further and get better. Together we can achieve a great deal, and if we can build on our successes and change what needs changing, we will get there — I firmly believe that.”
