Valtteri Bottas continues to believe in Lewis Hamilton.
Perhaps Lewis Hamilton chose not the best moment to move to Ferrari, when the Italian team has a car that is far from the best and does not allow even for fighting for podiums.
Of course, Charles Leclerc has already managed to finish in the top three five times during the 2025 season, but that was in the first half of the championship. Hamilton, however, has not yet managed to stand out in any Grand Prix, but Valtteri Bottas, who knows him well from working together at Mercedes, still believes in his former teammate.
"I hope he'll make up for it. Time will tell whether he will manage to," the Finnish driver told Crash.net. "He has had some good moments, but he has also sometimes been unlucky. The situation is complicated, because after so many years at Mercedes, where he was the leader, it's not easy to move to another team.
Now he is working in a completely different environment, and for now I can hardly add anything to what I already said: only time will tell whether Lewis will achieve improvements or not. But I really hope so, because I believe he still deserves the opportunity to fight for strong results."
