      Mario Andretti has voiced his concerns regarding the direction of Ferrari, while Ralf Schumacher believes the team's ongoing struggles are difficult to comprehend. Speaking during Il Festival dello Sport in Trento, the 1978 world champion acknowledged Charles Leclerc’s abilities but suggested that Leclerc might consider other options in the future. "I’m a big fan of Leclerc," the 85-year-old stated.

      "If he ever wanted to switch teams, I would take him to Cadillac immediately," the American said, referring to his role as a prominent ambassador for the Cadillac team, which plans to enter Formula 1 in 2026. However, Andretti emphasized, "But Ferrari is Ferrari. Sooner or later, this team will bounce back—they always do."

      When directly asked if he was losing confidence in team principal Frederic Vasseur, Andretti's response was succinct yet revealing: "Yes." Vasseur’s position has faced increased scrutiny despite a recent contract renewal, with Ferrari still not able to keep pace with McLaren, Red Bull, and Mercedes.

      Sky Deutschland analyst Ralf Schumacher expressed astonishment at how little advancement has been made. "They have two outstanding drivers, and the car, engine, and transmission are all developed in-house," he remarked. "All the necessary factors are in place," added Schumacher, whose brother Michael is Ferrari's most successful driver. "It's challenging to grasp where the issues lie."

      "If you consider that Ferrari spent the most money and ended up with the least competitive chassis," the German continued, "it’s perplexing. But Vasseur knows how to bring people together and inspire the team.

      "Ferrari is essentially like a powder keg—there's a lot of frustration, and things can change rapidly."
