Lando Norris: There are overtaking opportunities on the Austin track.
McLaren have secured the Constructors' Championship, but their drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris continue to fight for the drivers' title. Both are determined to score plenty of points in Austin at the United States Grand Prix, which will take place in a sprint format with a Saturday sprint.
Lando Norris: "It's great to head to Austin as Constructors' champions! But there are still six races to go, during which important points in the drivers' standings will be up for grabs. The United States Grand Prix is always fun, and this time will certainly be so thanks to the sprint format. The fans create an incredible atmosphere, and I enjoy driving at COTA. It's fast with several overtaking spots. I can't wait to get back behind the wheel."
Oscar Piastri: "I'm looking forward to the race weekend at COTA, especially as it will be run in a sprint format. I'm fully focused on pace and on maximising performance in both races. The track has some great sections, particularly the high-speed esses, and the layout allows for excellent racing. I've always enjoyed competing at this circuit, so the upcoming weekend should be fun."
Andrea Stella, team principal: "We head to the United States Grand Prix as the 2025 Constructors' champions, and we are very proud of that. This weekend features a sprint, which will give our drivers additional opportunities to score more important points. The track is one of their favourites, so we'll try to provide them with everything they need to have a strong race weekend. I am very proud of the whole team, who have worked hard to achieve this result. We still have a lot to do this year."
