Hajar: I had to work on myself for a long time.
Red Bull's motorsport consultant Helmut Marko has repeatedly praised Isack Hadjar for his ability to adapt quickly to tracks that are new to him. In Austin, the French Racing Bulls driver said that he had to work hard on himself in the junior categories to learn how to find his rhythm quickly.
"Indeed, sometimes I want to start qualifying straight away without extra practice, because I feel that some rivals need more time to find their rhythm," Isack Hadjar said in Austin. "That's exactly why I like sprint-format weekends. You have to get to work immediately, and I like that approach.
"But seriously, I had to work a lot on myself. I used to always come in slowly. But I worked a lot on this aspect when I competed in Formula 3 and Formula 2. There we hardly had any opportunity to properly work in practice."
