Hülkenberg: The team needs to change its mentality

      After several years on the brink of survival, the modest Sauber team will become Audi’s factory team next year with very different ambitions. In Austin the team’s driver Nico Hülkenberg spoke about the importance of adopting a new mentality.

      Nico Hülkenberg: “The transition from Sauber to Audi is a process that will take time.

      The Sauber team has endured several very difficult years, was forced to fight for survival, and that is ingrained in the people, it has remained in their memories. Now a new period begins; we need to leave those memories behind. The team needs to change its mentality.

      We are moving in that direction now. The achievements we have made this year help everyone feel much more confident in their abilities.”
