Formula 1 announced an extension of the contract to stage the United States Grand Prix. The parties have signed a new agreement under which the round at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin will remain on the World Championship calendar through and including 2034.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1: “Since 2012 the United States Grand Prix has continued to gain momentum and popularity. I want to thank the authorities of Austin and Travis County for hosting us. Each year the round at the Circuit of the Americas becomes a real event for spectators, drivers and teams, attracting hundreds of thousands of devoted fans who come to the track to witness thrilling action and feel the energy of the circuit and the city. Formula 1 continues to grow and thrive in the U.S., and we are proud to expand our partnership with Bobby Epstein and his outstanding team in Austin, as well as with Governor Abbott, whose leadership has played a key role in supporting the development of Formula 1 in Texas and beyond. They have both demonstrated unwavering commitment to Formula 1, and their shared vision and investments have been instrumental in creating the solid foundation on which we now rely in the United States.”
