In a column on his official website, former team owner Giancarlo Minardi summed up the Mexican Grand Prix…

Giancarlo Minardi: "After the Mexican Grand Prix, the fight for the title between the McLaren drivers starts anew. With four Grands Prix remaining in the season, including two events with a Saturday sprint, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are separated by one point.

In Mexico we saw one of the most interesting races in recent times, with different strategic options. The tyre choice really affected the outcome, keeping the suspense until the last corner.

Lando Norris had one of the best weekends of his career, flawless in qualifying and dominant in the race. His victory by a 30-second margin over Leclerc was clear and deserved.

For Ferrari, second place was an important result: it’s their second consecutive podium and the best possible result at the moment. The podium was earned in on-track battles and defended until the final lap in a fight with the ever-combative Verstappen.

The Dutchman from Red Bull fought like a lion, but in the first corner the stewards let him off. Penalties haven’t been given for such incidents for a long time, but in this case he was a few metres from the line, with two wheels on the grass. He had excellent control of the car, but if there had been gravel instead of grass, his race would have ended there.

For Hamilton the situation was completely different. I agree with the stewards’ decision: not only did he fail to follow the instructions on rejoining the track, but he also gained a position thanks to that manoeuvre. Admittedly, anyone would have done the same in that situation, but the penalty was correct.

Oliver Bearman finished in a magnificent fourth place, and until then had been battling for a podium for a long time. It’s an important result for the young driver and for the American team, which again had an excellent weekend.

There was a kind of chaos at Mercedes. Russell asked the team for Antonelli to let him through, then he himself let Kimi through. Such decisions need to be made immediately; they cannot take so many laps.

It was a difficult weekend for Oscar Piastri; his McLaren was sliding on the track. Despite the difficulties, he managed to finish fifth, limiting the damage.

The fight between Norris and Piastri for the championship title starts over again, and Verstappen’s chances in it are rapidly fading."

Nizhny Novgorod business ombudsman Pavel Solodky helped a local clothing manufacturer avoid a large fine. Thanks to his intervention, an administrative penalty of 250,000 rubles was replaced with a warning. The regional business ombudsman’s press service reported on the case.
The situation arose after the microenterprise was held liable for the late submission of environmental reports to Rosprirodnadzor’s Interregional Department. However, the fine notice arrived at the organization late — two months after it had been issued.
Upon learning of the sanction, the company’s representatives turned to the business ombudsman for help. Pavel Solodky promptly prepared a complaint and a petition to restore the missed appeal deadline. Subsequently, the ombudsman’s representative personally took part in the court hearings, defending the entrepreneur’s interests.
As a result, the Kanavinsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod granted the petition, restored the appeal deadline, and decided to replace the monetary penalty with a warning.
“We are glad that we were able to help the entrepreneur avoid serious financial consequences caused by a bureaucratic delay. This case demonstrates the importance of timely intervention by the business ombudsman in protecting the lawful interests of entrepreneurs,” Pavel Solodky said.
Earlier reports stated that Pavel Solodky helped restore the rights of 70 Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneurs.
