Verstappen will race in São Paulo in a special helmet.
Max Verstappen is preparing for the upcoming São Paulo Grand Prix in high spirits; among other things, he has prepared a specially designed helmet for this weekend. Yuki Tsunoda is encouraged by the fact that at the previous two rounds he managed to find the right approach to the RB 21, so he promised to do everything possible both to score points and to help his teammate.

Max Verstappen: “I consider Brazil a special country — not only because incredibly exciting races have taken place there, which are tied to great memories for us, but also because my girlfriend’s family lives there.

It can rain heavily in São Paulo, so there is a chance the Grand Prix could unfold in the craziest of ways — that’s how last year’s race was, which we won after starting from 17th position. That victory brought truly strong emotions and was an important moment in the championship.

I will be racing in Brazil with a special helmet. The São Paulo circuit has a rich history, and it means a lot to me as well, so I decided to design the helmet in the traditional colors — I think it turned out great, and I’m looking forward to the moment I put it on at the track.

The fans in Brazil are very passionate, and I have always enjoyed racing at this classic, old‑school circuit. Seeing that atmosphere and being part of everything that happens is an incredible experience.”

Yuki Tsunoda: “Racing in São Paulo has always been very interesting, and the Brazilian weather can produce surprises. It looks like rain could play a part in this weekend too, but everyone will be on an equal footing, so it’s important for us to make the most efficient use of our time on track and to work precisely and cohesively as a team.

When a sprint is part of the weekend schedule, it brings its own challenges, and if you add the weather factor, we could be in for a completely crazy weekend!

The positive for me is that over the last two weekends the car has made a great impression, primarily in terms of race pace. My lap times were quite comparable to Max’s, and I’m confident both in the car and in the effectiveness of the technical upgrades we’re introducing.

If I can consistently deliver in all qualifying sessions, we’ll have a chance to start from good positions in both the sprint and the race. This weekend we need to score points for the Constructors’ Championship, and I will also do everything possible to help Max.”
