Kimi Antonelli: I've found my rhythm.
Finishing second in Interlagos, Kimi Antonelli achieved the best result of his career. His teammate George Russell finished the race fourth...
Kimi Antonelli (2nd): "To be honest, I don't know where Max came from behind! I wasn't expecting that.
I should say that on the restart I was lucky to avoid the consequences of the collision. We need to check the car; after the impact it was behaving a bit strangely, but overall the race went well.
The final laps were tense — Max was on fresher tyres, but fortunately on the clear track I was able to maintain a decent pace and finish second.
I found my rhythm. When he started to close in, I increased the pace and began to attack. It's hard to follow in the turbulent airflow with these cars; I tried to use that to my advantage, and it worked."
George Russell (4th): "A difficult weekend for me. I had trouble handling the car and finding the necessary pace to really fight at the front. Fourth place after such a long race is a good result for me and the team, considering our position in the Constructors' Championship.
At the end of the race I had to monitor the brake temperatures, which only made the fight with Max Verstappen for third place more difficult. But to be realistic about our chances, I'm not sure we had the pace to fight for a podium.
Our goal for the end of the season is clear: to overtake Red Bull and Ferrari and keep second place in the Constructors' Championship after the Abu Dhabi race. This weekend the advantage returned to us, and I hope we can build on this success in the three final races of the season.
Kimi did a great job and finished second. He was very quick throughout the weekend, and that's great. We'll keep working together to score as many points as possible. I hope we'll be on top when we see the chequered flag at Yas Marina."
