A flood warning was issued in Las Vegas.

      The weather forecast for the Las Vegas Grand Prix calls for clear skies, but the city has been placed under a warning for possible heavy flooding ahead of the weekend.

      The U.S. National Weather Service issued a warning indicating that Las Vegas is within the area under a flood warning after heavy rainfall. Thunderstorms are also possible in the vicinity of the city.

      The warnings will remain in effect until Wednesday morning local time. The race weekend in Las Vegas will begin on Wednesday afternoon with drivers' media duties.

      The forecast for the coming days calls for a 30% chance of precipitation during the first part of free practice, while the remaining sessions of the weekend are expected to be dry.
