Khadzhar: Las Vegas has one of the most challenging tracks.

On the eve of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Racing Bulls drivers Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson talked about the characteristics of the street circuit and the challenges that await the team this weekend.

Isack Hadjar: "Last week in Brazil the team had a successful weekend, scoring points. We had great pace, and I’m looking forward to getting back behind the wheel and racing in Las Vegas for the first time.

It’s important for me to make the most of the practice sessions to get into the rhythm. It looks like I’ll be driving on one of the most demanding tracks in unique conditions. It’s usually very cold at this time of day, there are a lot of slow corners, and the rear wing needs to be set to low downforce for speed on the straights. We have everything we need to do our job well, so we’ll definitely give it our all."

Liam Lawson: "I’m looking forward to the Las Vegas round. The race is unique because it takes place in cold conditions, which makes it hard to warm the tires and bring them into the working window. The conditions are different from what we usually face, so the race will be very interesting.

The circuit layout includes long straights, so the car needs to be set up for low downforce, but that makes it harder to drive in the corners. As is often the case on street circuits, the asphalt is very slippery at the start of the weekend, which is noticeably different from the high-grip tracks we’ve raced on recently.

It’s going to be a tough race, but I’m looking forward to the start of the final three-race stretch of the season."
