Schu's former manager draws a comparison between Michael and Verstappen.
"Max drives more on instinct"
Former Michael Schumacher's manager, Willi Weber, has made headlines in Germany again, not only for placing his EUR 15 million villa on the market following his separation from his wife but also for his recent thoughts on the two drivers he views as the best of their generations. The 83-year-old, who has not been in touch with the Schumacher family since Sabine Kehm took over management after Michael's skiing accident in 2013, expressed to f1-insider.com that he still holds great admiration for his former protégé.
"Max is more of an instinctive driver, making decisions based on gut feelings and is almost always correct," Weber remarked. "Michael approached everything with careful consideration - every move was strategic." However, he noted that both drivers share a common essence.
"Both have fully dedicated themselves to their achievements. They aren't flashy individuals seeking the limelight. They were and continue to be athletes, not Hollywood celebrities. Their achievements are always in service of the sport."
Weber also informed Bild that despite his personal challenges, he stays realistic about selling his property in the Stuttgart area. "We'll continue to live together until the house is sold," he explained. "One must take care of one thing before the next. The global situation is difficult at the moment - selling a house, well, the timing is rarely perfect."
