Lawson uncertain about future following a tumultuous season.

      "Your inaugural season in Formula 1 is always the most crucial."

      Liam Lawson stated that he has "absolutely no idea" if he will continue in Formula 1 next season. It has been a tumultuous first full season for the New Zealander, beginning with his challenging time alongside Max Verstappen, facing criticism from competitors over his aggressive driving, and now experiencing a lengthy wait to find out if he will be kept within the Red Bull team.

      With much of the focus on Yuki Tsunoda, Isack Hadjar, and even Arvid Lindblad being predicted for a Racing Bulls debut next year, Lawson expressed in Las Vegas that he has no clear information about his future.

      "Honestly, I have absolutely no idea," he remarked when questioned about when Red Bull would make a decision. "I anticipate that the decision won’t be finalized until later - perhaps towards the end of the season, or even afterward."

      He believes that the fierce Constructors’ battles between Red Bull and Mercedes, along with Racing Bulls’ own struggles further down the standings, are contributing to the delay.

      "Both teams are competing for vital positions," he noted. "They want to capitalize on every opportunity, so they’re deferring the decision for as long as they can. But honestly - I really don’t know."

      Lawson emphasized the significance of the situation.

      "Your first season in Formula 1 is always the most critical," he stated. "It’s the first full year that determines whether you remain in the sport. Many more drivers lose their seats after one or two seasons than after several years. If you've managed to stay for a couple of seasons, you’re already seen as valuable."
