Franco Colapinto concludes the season feeling frustrated.

"The money they allocate to this nonsense"

Franco Colapinto’s challenging conclusion to the 2025 season has been accompanied by a significant change in attitude - the formerly exuberant rookie now expressing increasing irritation off the track. The Alpine driver, confirmed for 2026 after a phase of uncertainty, has faced difficulties in form and voiced his frustration over the post-race fireworks in Las Vegas.

"I can’t hear anything," he stated, adding, "There are dogs... the animals. It’s 10 pm. Do they think it’s Christmas, you idiots? Do you have any idea how much this costs, what the f**? The money they waste on this nonsense."

In Abu Dhabi, Colapinto directed his irritation towards Formula 1’s response to the wave of online harassment that Kimi Antonelli faced following Red Bull’s allegation in Qatar that the Mercedes rookie had acted intentionally. The 22-year-old Argentinian remarked on the disparity between how drivers are penalized for minor verbal missteps and how prominent figures escape punishment for inciting "hate."

"I was reflecting on the fines we incur for using inappropriate language on television or in the media, in comparison to individuals who speak hastily without full knowledge and make statements that then breed hate," he observed.

"This creates a much larger issue, and they endure no repercussions. They simply release a statement, and everything returns to normal. I find it all quite unfair. Maybe it necessitates a change. It’s likely something that should be reconsidered."
