Japanese Grand Prix: Elements of Power Units

      This year, throughout the season, teams can use four internal combustion engines (ICE), four turbochargers (TC), four MGU-Ks, three energy storage units (ES), three control electronics units (CE), and six peripheral element units (ANC) without penalty. The installation of the first element of the power unit exceeding these limits results in a loss of 10 grid places. The installation of the second element and subsequent ones results in a loss of five places. If the penalty exceeds 15 positions, the driver starts from the last row. If multiple drivers receive such penalties, the starting position depends on the qualifying results. The replacement of exhaust systems (EXN) is also limited – only four can be used per season, with subsequent replacements penalized similarly. The FIA has published a list of power unit elements installed on cars before the start of the weekend in Suzuka, but replacements are already possible today.
