Khajar: Our car is the fourth or fifth in speed.

On Thursday in the Suzuka paddock, Red Bull Racing driver Isaac Hajar spoke about the issues with the RB22 car and the approximate timelines in which the team might be able to resolve them.

Question: Isaac, are you surprised by how well you performed in the first two races of the season? Red Bull hasn't had such a good driver alongside Max Verstappen in a long time.

Isaac Hajar: I've only done two races, so let's see how everything develops moving forward. I don't know, but I have a serious challenge ahead of me; however, I feel at home in the team. Everything is going well, but it's clear that Max is pushing hard every lap, and he is very fast. I'm trying to keep up with him.

Question: We're all trying to understand what level Red Bull is at right now. Is your car the third fastest?

Isaac Hajar: More like fourth or fifth.

Question: But you qualified third in Australia?

Isaac Hajar: Yes, but that was in Australia. In the races, both times we were far behind.

Question: How long will it take you to solve the problems with the car?

Isaac Hajar: I don't know. A couple of months, a year. Who knows. We'll see.

Question: Is the problem with the car that it behaves inconsistently from corner to corner? Are there issues with the chassis being too heavy as well?

Isaac Hajar: Yes, there are several issues. Our car is not the lightest, that's for sure. But I wouldn't say it's difficult to handle. First and foremost, the RB22 is just slow. And it's definitely true that in Shanghai it behaved less stably than in Melbourne.

In Melbourne, I was more satisfied with the car's behavior. But it can't be called unpredictable or that it's impossible to drive. That's not the case.

Question: What are your feelings about the car then?

Isaac Hajar: We're losing too much time in the corners. It's just not fast enough.

Question: Is the problem related to the chassis or the engine?

Isaac Hajar: Mostly with the chassis.
