Alonso: Suzuka highlights our weaknesses.

      In the final minutes of the first part of qualifying, Fernando Alonso outpaced his teammate; there were no other competitors for Aston Martin today – in the race, they will share the last row of the starting grid.

      Fernando Alonso (21st): "It was a challenging qualifying session. This track highlights our weaknesses. Although we didn't make it to the second session, we still managed to complete many laps, which is important for data collection and better understanding of the car.

      I enjoy racing in Suzuka; tomorrow we will give it our all – let's see what comes of it."

      Lance Stroll (22nd): "On the last fast lap, I had issues with energy consumption, which cost me a couple of tenths, and I will start last tomorrow.

      Our goal is to finish the race. Right now, we are fully focused on reliability and addressing the current issues. We have a good understanding of what we need to work on in the coming months, and we know that it won't be solved overnight."
