James Vowles: This cannot continue any longer.

James Vowles, head of Williams, commented on the results of the Japanese Grand Prix, in which his team failed to earn points, and while Carlos Sainz finished 15th, losing more than a minute to the winner, in Alex Albon's case, the deficit exceeded two laps. However, this was due to the fact that at the team's request, he had to run the race in test mode – he visited the pits five times, adjustments were made to his car during pit stops, and the Williams engineers gathered important information about the behavior of the FW48.

James Vowles: "Another race is behind us – unfortunately, we were unable to add to our points tally. At this stage of the season, our car simply isn't good enough, but now we have a five-week break ahead, and we must ensure that literally every hour of every day is used as effectively as possible so that we can catch up and secure higher positions in the midfield.

There is a colossal amount of work to be done, as we found ourselves among the backmarkers at the start of the season, but I believe in our team and in the changes we have already made to our plans – all of this should allow us to improve.

For the past few months, the team has been working tirelessly, and Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon are doing absolutely everything they can on the track. We have much to learn, and I hope that in Miami we will return to the fight with renewed strength.

Race day in Suzuka did not go well, and I believe it cannot continue like this. We must increase the speed of the car at every stage of the season and regain our form to earn points every weekend.

Carlos deserves praise; he performed flawlessly and gave it his all, but our car is not capable of more. Alex also drove perfectly but then switched to a test program, and thanks to him, we obtained invaluable information that will be useful in the future.

We have five very tough weeks ahead, but that’s how it should be, as we will conduct a detailed analysis of what happened so that by Miami, our car will allow us to fight for points.

Speaking of Oliver Berman's crash, whom I consider our friend, I am glad that he only suffered bruises. For everyone, this incident served as a reminder that we must take measures to ensure that this does not happen again."
