Franco Colapinto will participate in demonstration laps that will take place on a temporary track organized on the streets of the Argentine capital. Franco will get behind the wheel of a 2012 Formula 1 car, the Lotus E20, painted in the current livery of the Alpine team. The laps are scheduled for April 26 and will be part of a historic car show. Franco Colapinto: "Driving a Formula 1 car at home will be one of the most special moments of my life. It is my way of thanking everyone for the support and love I have received since early childhood, which continues to inspire me every day in my pursuit of achieving all my career ambitions." With Franco Colapinto's debut in Formula 1, interest in motorsport has noticeably increased in Argentina. Work is already underway in Buenos Aires to renovate the racetrack in order to host the Formula 1 Grand Prix in 2028.
