The Kolapinto managers made a statement.

The company BulletSportsManagement, which manages Franco Colapinto's career, defended the driver who faced a wave of criticism and threats on social media after the incident in Suzuka that led to a serious accident involving Oliver Berman.

Before the Spoon corner, the power unit in Colapinto's car switched to energy recovery mode, while Berman used the stored energy to attack – the speed difference between the cars was 50 km/h. Avoiding the rival's car, the Haas F1 driver went off the track, which led to the accident.

Fortunately, Berman did not suffer serious injuries, only a bruise on his right knee, but on social media, Colapinto was blamed for what happened, despite his lack of fault in the matter. Colapinto's managers had to come to his defense.

"We cannot ignore the incident that led to Oliver Berman's accident. Franco is not at fault for what happened. The accident was a result of the new energy management rules, as confirmed by the FIA's official statement.

Despite this, Franco is facing unjust criticism and hatred, so let's give him all the love and support he deserves. Franco is stronger than you think; negative comments or insults will not affect him in any way," said Colapinto's managers.
