A new film dedicated to Gina Schumacher is being released by the ZDF channel.

Gina Schumacher, the 29-year-old daughter of the seven-time world champion, has also made a quite successful career in sports, but in equestrianism, or more specifically – in reining. This discipline is also referred to as "western" or "cowboy riding."

Gina has been involved in it for a long time, has won numerous championships at the highest level, and the German television channel ZDF has made a documentary about her, which will premiere in May. However, journalists from Bild have already had the chance to see it and shared their impressions, especially since Michael Schumacher's daughter talks about her father as well.

Gina does not often find herself in the media spotlight – usually, she is written about when she wins another tournament, and of course, a lot of attention was given to her wedding, which took place in September 2024, and the birth of her daughter – this event happened a year ago.

The film is dedicated specifically to Gina, her love for equestrian sports, and her successes in this field, but she also shares other aspects of her life. In particular, she admits that the tragedy that happened to her father at the end of December 2013 on a ski slope in the French Alps left a deep wound in her soul, and only her love for horses helped her cope with all the emotions.

"After the accident with my father, I threw myself into equestrian sports because I needed to find something to do for myself," Gina says in the new film. "Horses have always held an important place in my life, and they helped me endure everything."

This work of German documentarians also includes an interview with Corinna Schumacher, the racing driver's wife and mother of his children, as Gina inherited her love for equestrian sports from her, while her father passed on his determination and willpower.

"When Gina was ten years old, Michael once told me: 'Gina will go much further than you,'" recalls Corinna. "If a person becomes an athlete, in a certain sense, they must be selfish. And that's great because without that, you won't achieve anything. And I think he was absolutely right."

"I am grateful to my parents because they made all of this possible. Therefore, it has always been important for me to work hard to show the maximum results that I am capable of achieving," Gina adds.

The Schumacher family owns two ranches, where all the conditions for practicing reining are created – one is located in the Swiss town of Jivren, and the other in the American state of Texas.
