McLaren and Mercedes will conduct tests at the Nürburgring.
At the end of February, Pirelli planned to conduct tests of rain tires in Bahrain with the participation of McLaren and Mercedes, but they had to be canceled due to armed conflict. However, the Italian tire manufacturers found other dates and another track for these tests.
The Pirelli tests will take place in mid-April, during the week that was supposed to precede the canceled Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. For this, the company rented the Nürburgring track, but not the "North Loop," where Max Verstappen will drive a 24-hour marathon in May, but in the Grand Prix configuration, which last hosted a Formula 1 stage in 2020.
McLaren and Mercedes will participate in the tests. According to GPBlog, the main drivers of the teams will be working at the German track – Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, George Russell, and Kimi Antonelli.
