Daniil Kvyat shows interest in Formula E.

Daniil Kvyat is rightly considered a strong professional in the world of motorsport – first of all, he has 110 Grands Prix in Formula 1 under his belt, and he has stood on the podium three times while racing for Red Bull and Toro Rosso.

He then competed in endurance racing, tried his hand in NASCAR, and this year he will debut in the Japanese Super GT300 series, where he will pilot a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo 2 sports car. Daniil has been collaborating with the racing division of the Italian company for quite some time and, as part of its factory team Lamborghini Squadra Corse, participated in the "24 Hours of Le Mans" and in the American IMSA series.

In general, Daniil has a wealth of racing experience, including having driven Formula E cars multiple times, but only in special tests known as Rookie tests, which are intended for newcomers to the electric series. In 2023, in Berlin, he participated in such tests at the invitation of a team that was then called NIO 333 (now it is Cupra Kiro), and in 2025 and last March in Madrid – with DS Penske.

In an interview with RacinNews365, Kvyat stated that he is interested in continuing his career in the World Electric Vehicle Racing Championship: "The question of my plans for next year remains open for now. This year I will be racing in Japan, and I am still a factory driver for Lamborghini – that is my main job.

I have other commitments, but I have always said that if a good opportunity arises, I am ready to race in Formula E as well. I am interested in this series, especially now, as this championship is preparing to switch to fourth-generation cars that can generate more downforce."

When Daniil was asked if he is in talks with any Formula E teams, he replied: "I know many people from this paddock and, of course, I talk to them, and they talk to me, and that’s normal. We’ll see what opportunities may arise in the future."

For now, Kvyat is preparing for his debut in Super GT: already this upcoming weekend, he will take the start in a 300-kilometer race at the Okayama International Circuit.
