Domenicali: Criticism for the sake of criticism will not yield results.

The head of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicali, commented on the ongoing negotiations regarding changes to the technical regulations. He hopes that adjustments, primarily related to energy use during qualifying, will be approved by the Miami Grand Prix.

"When we discuss certain issues, it's great because it generates constructive discussion," Stefano Domenicali said during a conversation with the British press. "But I don't like people who enjoy criticizing. Criticism for the sake of criticism helps no one and will yield no results.

However, the discussions we've been having in recent months with the FIA, teams, and drivers are moving in the right direction. We are holding meetings, one of which will take place next week before Miami, and we will see how we can improve the situation.

I hope that before the Miami event, the FIA will inform us of what adjustments will be made to the regulations considering two factors. First, qualifying, where we need to ensure that drivers can use maximum power. Second, we must guarantee that all the concerns raised by the drivers will be properly addressed.

As for comments about the artificiality of overtaking, an overtake is an overtake. People have short memories – in the 1980s, during the turbo engine era, we had to save fuel during the race because the fuel tank was too small, and that was part of the game.

We need to consider all factors, but at the same time, have a clear idea of what we want to achieve in the future."
