Bearman feels 'all good' following Suzuka, despite worries about injuries.

"I had some swelling in my knee, but fortunately, everything's fine now."

Oliver Bearman reports that he has made a good recovery from his serious crash at Suzuka, even though there were noticeable worries right after the incident. The 20-year-old Haas driver was seen having difficulty walking following the crash and was later observed limping onto a bullet train in Tokyo the next day. However, in an interview with SportBible, Bearman asserts that the injuries were minimal. "Yeah, I’m all good, thanks for asking, I appreciate it," he said. He acknowledged that the days after the crash were uncomfortable, mainly due to knee swelling. "It was tough to travel because I wasn’t moving much after that," Bearman noted. "I had a bit of swelling on the knee, but fortunately, everything’s okay now; it was the right knee, so I was alright." Interestingly, the Ferrari academy driver resumed driving—at least on the simulator—within days. "Actually, I was back on the simulator by Wednesday or Thursday since my brother and I were practicing for an endurance race that weekend," he shared. "It could have been much worse, so I’m very thankful and eager to get back out in Miami." This incident has sparked considerable debate regarding safety implications linked to the 2026 regulations, particularly the significant speed differences resulting from energy management.
