In the Alpine management, a new appointment.
At the management level of Renault Group, another personnel decision has been made – Guillaume Rossi has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Alpine. Since Rossi previously headed the mergers and acquisitions department of the French automotive group, his transfer to Renault's sports division was immediately interpreted by the press as a possible sign of an upcoming sale of the Formula 1 team.
Discussions about the holding company Otro Capital intending to sell its 24% stake in Alpine F1 began last winter, and it is already known that both Christian Horner and Mercedes, along with several other potential investors, are showing interest in this share.
Guillaume Rossi has no experience in motorsport, but he is rightly considered an expert in strategic investments. Such an appointment should not be surprising, as experts currently value the 24% stake in Alpine F1 at $600 million.
It is possible that the stakes will only rise as the results of the Enstone team improve, as they are clearly on the rise: their drivers have earned points in all the already completed stages of the new season, and Alpine F1 is in 5th place in the Constructors' Championship.
