"I simply no longer wanted to be there."

Former Formula 1 driver Logan Sargeant expresses that he grew "disillusioned" with the sport before deciding to leave. The 25-year-old American lost his place at Williams to Franco Colapinto during the 2024 season and subsequently exited motorsport entirely. However, Sargeant has recently reemerged in the World Endurance Championship, where he reveals he has found his motivation again.

"I’ve become quite disillusioned with Formula 1. That’s probably the best term for it," he shared with motorsport-total.com. "Ultimately, I just didn’t want to be there anymore after witnessing how certain teams function."

Sargeant noted that the difference with his current situation is significant. "It’s an amazing championship with excellent manufacturers," he commented. "There’s a much more enjoyable atmosphere here, a more laid-back environment, where everyone collaborates towards a common goal."
