Alesi is once again participating in the historic races in Monaco.
Yesterday, Jean Alesi had a serious crash in the Ferrari 312/69 during the races on the track in Monaco, where the traditional spring historic Grand Prix takes place, a car that Chris Amon drove in 1969. However, as reported by the press service of the Automobile Club of Monaco, "The mechanics of the Methusalem Racing team did an incredible job and managed to repair Jean Alesi's Ferrari 312, so this morning the Frenchman returned to the track." The excitement of the eyewitnesses to these events is understandable, as the car, built 57 years ago, sustained quite significant damage. But the German Methusalem Racing, represented by a former Formula 1 driver, has long specialized in the restoration of historic racing vehicles and their preparation for competitions of this kind, and this team employs top-class professionals. Today they once again confirmed their qualifications.
Alesi, along with nearly three dozen other participants, mostly amateurs unlike him, is competing today in the Monaco Grand Prix Historique in the so-called "Series D" – vehicles produced between 1966 and 1972.
