Christian Horner has sparked speculation regarding a possible future in MotoGP after visiting the paddock in Jerez, but he maintains that he is "in no rush" to make any decisions about his next steps. The former Red Bull team principal attended as a prominent guest of MotoGP and Liberty Media, which oversees the commercial rights for both series.

“I’m here as a guest of MotoGP and Liberty Media," he stated. "It’s a really fascinating time for MotoGP, as it is undergoing changes with new ownership. That’s why I wanted to come here and witness it firsthand.”

Horner also emphasized the potential connections between MotoGP and Formula 1. “I think this sport has a lot to offer. I hope Liberty Media can utilize their Formula 1 expertise effectively. I know Stefano Domenicali is very dedicated—I'm here with him today. There will definitely be some synergies.”

When directly asked about the chance of investing in a MotoGP team, Horner didn’t dismiss the idea. “I’m just here to learn a bit more while I have some time, to explore different forms of motorsport,” he mentioned. “I’m liking what I see, but speculation will always exist.”

Additionally, when questioned about the Alpine opportunity, he remarked, “There are always rumors floating around. For the moment, I'm taking a break and I’m not in a hurry. We’ll see what happens ultimately. Right now, I’m enjoying watching other sports.”

Horner was also spotted chatting with Koji Watanabe, which fueled further speculation about a potential Honda-backed MotoGP venture. He praised the championship, saying, “The races are fantastic, it’s a tremendous spectacle. The riders are amazing, and the motorcycles are unbelievable. Only by witnessing it live do you truly grasp how remarkable these machines are.”

His visit coincides with an increasing crossover between personnel from Formula 1 and MotoGP, with figures like Gunther Steiner and Massimo Rivola now part of the series, and Pierre Gasly investing in a team.
