Horner sparks MotoGP discussions during Liberty's 'synergy' initiative.

Christian Horner has sparked speculation regarding a potential future in MotoGP after being seen at the Jerez paddock, though he emphasizes that he is "in no hurry" to make a decision about his next steps. The former Red Bull team principal was a notable guest of both MotoGP and Liberty Media, which currently manages the commercial rights for both series.

"I’m here as a guest of MotoGP and Liberty Media," he stated. "This is a fascinating time for MotoGP, especially as it undergoes changes with new ownership. That’s why I wanted to come and experience it for myself."

Horner also highlighted the possible connections between MotoGP and Formula 1. "I think this sport has immense potential. I hope the folks at Liberty Media can utilize their Formula 1 experience effectively. I know that Stefano Domenicali is very dedicated; I'm here with him today. There will definitely be some synergies."

When directly asked about the chance of investing in a MotoGP team, Horner did not dismiss the idea. "I’m here to learn a bit more while I have the time, to explore different areas of motorsport," he remarked. "I like what I see, but there will always be speculation."

Regarding the Alpine opportunity, he noted, "There are always rumors floating around. For now, I’m still taking a break and I'm not in a hurry. We’ll see how things unfold in the end. At the moment, I’m enjoying watching other sports."

Horner was also spotted discussing matters with Koji Watanabe, which led to further speculation about a possible Honda-supported MotoGP project. He praised the championship, saying, "The races are fantastic, the show is excellent. The riders and motorcycles are extraordinary. You only truly appreciate how amazing these machines are when you see them in person."

His presence at the event coincides with an increasing crossover of personnel between Formula 1 and MotoGP, with individuals like Gunther Steiner and Massimo Rivola now part of the series, and Pierre Gasly becoming involved in a team.
