The Bahrain Grand Prix will open the 2027 season.
In Formula 1, work continues on compiling the calendar for the 2027 season. An official announcement is expected no earlier than June, but a preliminary version has already appeared in the press, which may still be subject to changes.
It is expected that the 2027 season will open with the Bahrain Grand Prix. The race at the Sakhir circuit is scheduled for March 14. A week after Bahrain, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is set to take place.
Races in Australia, China, and Japan are planned for April. The contract for holding the race in Melbourne is valid until 2035, but under it, the Australian round is only supposed to open the season five times. The Albert Park circuit has already opened the season twice, and the next time Melbourne will be the first round no earlier than 2028.
For May, as in 2026, races in Miami and Montreal are scheduled, while the European part of the season will kick off with the Monaco Grand Prix on the first Sunday of June. Following that, the Portuguese round is expected to return, replacing Barcelona on the calendar.
After the Portuguese Grand Prix, the calendar follows the 2026 schedule with races in Austria, the UK, Belgium, and Hungary, after which there will be a summer break. The season will resume with a round in Madrid on the last weekend of August, and a week later Monza will host the Italian Grand Prix.
Two weeks later, the Turkish Grand Prix is planned, which will take place in conjunction with the round in Baku. Then, the calendar will repeat the 2026 year with rounds in Singapore, Austin, Mexico City, São Paulo, Las Vegas, and Qatar. It is expected that the 2027 Formula 1 season will conclude in Abu Dhabi on December 5.
