Bortoleto: At its core, the car remains the same R26.

Gabriel Bortoleto, the Brazilian Audi driver, commented on the appointment of Alan McNish as the racing director of the factory team of the German company, and also touched upon the topic of upgrading the R26 car at this stage of the season.

Gabriel Bortoleto: "I had a good time in April. Of course, I worked a lot on the simulator at Audi's bases in Germany and Switzerland, but I also managed to relax. I live in Monaco and watched some interesting tennis matches with friends. Overall, despite having some free time, hard work continued at the Formula 1 team bases.

Speaking about the changes in our team's management, Alan McNish has been working with Audi for many, many years. He has won at Le Mans with them, was part of the management of the Formula E factory team, and now he works with us. I believe he has held various positions, and this is just another one.

I took his arrival in our team very calmly, as Alan has been with Audi much longer than I have, and I think he will do a great job."

Gabriel also said a few words about the changes to expect this weekend: "Our car has become a bit different, although the updates are not extensive, and the world will not change because of this. Essentially, it is still the same car, the concept does not change, and we still believe that the R26 is good enough.

Throughout the season, we are gradually figuring out what can be improved and upgrading the car. We understand in which areas we need to improve, what our main weaknesses are, and we try to pay as much attention to this as possible."
