Williams team principal James Vowles announced the signing of Claire Simpson from Mercedes, where she led the aerodynamics department's working group.
Simpson worked at Mercedes for over 10 years but left to take the position of head of aerodynamic development at Williams. Her first day at work was today, May 1.
James Vowles: "We are joined by Claire Simpson from Mercedes – today is her first day in our team. In the next three to four months, other wonderful specialists will join us – we will make the appropriate announcements soon."
