Hamilton: What hindered me in qualifying happened again.
Lewis Hamilton started seventh in the Saturday sprint in Miami and finished in that same position, after which he expressed hope that the Ferrari team would be able to make significant adjustments to his car's setup, which would allow for improvement.
Lewis Hamilton (7th): "I hope we can change a lot, because yesterday, I think I lost about three tenths just because the software wasn't working properly, so I drove just like always, but I was losing time on the straights. It seems that everything that hindered me in qualifying repeated itself during the sprint.
I hope the team can achieve normal software operation or take other measures to ensure this doesn't happen again, and I also hope that the hybrid part will provide the car with more intense acceleration. But for now, the setup isn't quite right, and we need to work on that before qualifying."
Hamilton also said a few words about Alex Zanardi, whose passing was announced the day before: "I learned about it just shortly before the minute of silence. He was an amazing person, and the news of his passing saddened me.
First and foremost, he was truly a good guy, and his return to sport was an example of willpower and perseverance – he always maintained a positive attitude and achieved a lot. Zanardi inspired many people, and I think he did everything right."
