Former FIA racing director Nils Wittich left his position at the end of the 2024 season, partly due to disagreements with the federation president Mohammed ben Sulayem. He then collaborated with Sky Deutschland as a guest commentator, giving interviews, but only now has he signed a long-term contract. Wittich joined the Swiss company Geobrugg Motorsport as a project manager and international sales specialist. The company advises racing tracks on safety issues, develops and manufactures protective barriers, providing complete support on the path to obtaining FIA licensing.
