Juncadella claims that the FIA is exhibiting a 'double standard' regarding Hamilton.

"Impose a 2,000 euro fine on him like they did to me."

Dani Juncadella believes Lewis Hamilton should have faced punishment for displaying a middle finger to Franco Colapinto during the Miami GP. The Spaniard, who is an Aston Martin simulator driver and a close friend of Max Verstappen, criticized the FIA for its inconsistency, given that Hamilton faced no repercussions for his actions.

"The FIA's double standard is always evident," Juncadella remarked on X. "Impose a 2,000 euro fine on him like they did to me."

At 35, Juncadella was referencing his own fine from the Bahrain WEC round last November, where he was penalized for making an obscene gesture during a GT3 race. This incident had received backlash at the time, highlighting the FIA’s increased vigilance regarding driver conduct and language.

The issue is particularly sensitive for Verstappen, who also received a significant penalty from the FIA for his own use of profanity. Meanwhile, Juncadella will team up with Verstappen at the upcoming Nurburgring 24 Hours next weekend, driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3. They will also be joined by Jules Gounon, son of former Formula 1 driver Jean-Marc Gounon, and Lucas Auer, the nephew of Ferrari icon Gerhard Berger.
