Hadjar: I enjoy everything that is happening at Paul Ricard.
This weekend, 25,000 spectators gathered in the stands of the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet, eagerly watching what was happening on its track, as the traditional Historic Grand Prix of France was taking place.
Thanks to the efforts of its organizers, more than two hundred units of various racing vehicles can be seen there every year, including over 60 famous Formula 1 cars that participated in the World Championship from 1970 to 2010.
This year, modern F1 was represented by Isaac Hajar, a driver for Red Bull Racing, the team's principal Laurent Mekies, his colleague and rival Frédéric Vasseur, head of Ferrari, as well as Pierre Gasly from Alpine and Esteban Ocon, competing for Haas. And this is far from a complete list.
Hajar not only participated in the demonstrations and drove on the track in the RB7, a car from 2011 – he was also entrusted with waving the French flag and starting the race called Masters Racing Legends. Of course, he took great pleasure in interacting with such famous compatriots as Alain Prost, Jean Alesi, and René Arnoux.
"It was a perfect day!" – Isaac shared his impressions. – "The Historic Grand Prix takes place in my homeland, France, and for me, it’s an opportunity to feel the support of an entire army of French fans. – I enjoy everything that happens on the track and in the paddock. And the sound of the V8 engine of the RB7 is simply amazing, and driving this car is a real pleasure.
The atmosphere here is truly unique, and returning to Paul Ricard brings back many memories, primarily of my victories in F4, and when I drove on this track in a Formula 1 car, it felt like the completion of a certain cycle."
